Dr. Steve E. Meadows is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon with advanced fellowship training in hand and upper extremity surgery. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of Pennsylvania and his medical degree from SUNY Downstate College of Medicine.
After completing his internship in general surgery at the North Shore University Hospital of Cornell University, Dr. Meadows performed his orthopedic residency training at the Hospital for Joint Diseases Orthopaedic Institute, where he served as chief resident for his final year of training. He then received fellowship training in hand and upper extremity surgery at the Hand Center at Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia, which is renowned for its pioneering efforts in tendon surgery and techniques of hand rehabilitation.
Dr. Meadows is a diplomate of the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and American Society for Surgery of the Hand. He is also a member of the Florida Medical Association and Palm Beach County Medical Association.
Dr. Meadows has been in private practice of orthopedic surgery since 1992. He practices general orthopedic surgery with a subspecialty interest in shoulder, elbow, wrist, and hand problems. He performs numerous shoulder surgeries per year, including rotator cuff repair, shoulder replacement, reverse shoulder replacement, and fracture repair.

Dr Meadows did my carpal tunnel surgery almost 6 years ago, and he did a terrific job, and I have not had any problems since then. I am now having the same problems with my left hand and after seeing him last week I would never hesitate to have him operate on me again. Dr. Meadows is a talented, kind, caring orthopedist who speaks to his patients so that they fully I understand him.In addition he takes as much time as needed with each patient explaining procedures. He only recommends surgery after trying all other non-invasive methods. It is a pleasure to work with Dr. Meadows. He did reverse shoulder replacements on both my shoulders with no side effects, infection, etc. I no longer have pain in either shoulder. I could not be more pleased with my doctor or the entire staff. I broke both bones in my arm near my wrist last September. I walk 6-10 miles a day on the beach but one rainy day, I took to the sidewalk and tripped over uneven concrete joint. I cannot say that finding the remedy to the broken arm was easy; cast, surgery, therapy, surgery, on the mend. It's now been several months and I'm feeling I will heal. Due to a slip and fall, I had massive damage to my rotator cuff. In all my visits with Dr. Meadows, he was so pleasant, and took his time to explain what was needed and how I was to proceed from that point. He patiently answered all questions I had, and never rushed me. He truly performed a miracle surgery, in my case, and I am eternally grateful.

Other than the very long, wait until I actually saw the doctor everything else from the initial intake with the staff to the x-ray technician and the doctor everything was great. Dr. Meadows was very warm and friendly and professional and explained everything to me very thoroughly.
